Juilliard String Quartet
The Juilliard String Quartet is one of the most prominent chamber groups in the United States. Based at the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York the group wanted a site to showcase their active tour schedule, new documentary footage and audio recordings. I was lucky that I could work one on one with the first violinist of the group, he had a lot of input into the look, feel and design of the site.
The Juilliard Quartet was happy with their site so they recommended Musician Designs to Trio Cleonice and we began work on their new site as the group members graduated from university. The group is very active on social media and maintains a regularly updated blog. The site was built to be fun and functional while still reflecting the high quality of these musicians.
New York Classical Guitar Society
An active organization in New York, the NYCCGS approached me to design a site that could display the great variety and number of activities that the society undertakes each year. We managed to fit all of the content into a site that is very easy to navigate and looks good. It was important for them to update and change the site regularly so the WordPress format was perfect.
A young guitarist from Australia, Duncan was actually one of my very first clients back when everything was designed in HTML. Now Duncan’s site has been implemented in WordPress and showcases his great recordings and compositions. Along with an active blog, Duncan sells a lot of his CDs and music directly from his store so we worked hard to make it look good.
Teacher at the University of Hawai’i and an all round versatile musician, Ian wanted to leave it to me to design his site (the perfect client!) He liked the look of my other sites so I had free reign to design the site around the images and content he provided. Thank for letting me have creative control Ian!
Kayoung An is a young, virtuoso pianist. She approached me as a student from Colburn to produce a website that looked sleek and professional. Her site utilizes some wonderful pictures that enhances the visual impact of the pages and we chose a strong yet simple two-tone background that allowed her great content to shine.
A young cellist studying at The Juilliard School, Thomas Mesa wanted a bold ‘New York’ style site that represented his young career. He came with some less than amazing photos that were taken on New York rooftops and with a little photoshop creativity we managed to transform the photos into what you see now.
One of my favorite clients to work with! Sam is a wonderful singer-songwriter that is starting out his musical career with a great attitude, enthusiasm, and loads of talent. This site was launched to coincide with his debut album release and it was designed with a grungy, youthful look. Sam is great at keeping his fans informed of news and new concert tours.
Janice L Minor
Janice is a professional performer and a distinguished teacher. She wanted to have a site to display her teaching and performing credentials so that future employers could get a great impression of her abilities as soon as they found her site. A teaching page full of glowing testimonials and a list of featured performances along with great audio clips and photos will serve Janice well in her career.
Mireille was a colleague of mine at Yale University and she has gone on to develop a very impressive operatic career. Mireille had many high quality pictures from photo sessions and live performances that were integrated throughout the site. She keeps the concert list updated for her fans and has amassed and impressive amount of publicity materials, which have been displayed.
Debi was one of my very first clients for Musician Designs, but her site is often noted by prospective clients as their favorite look. We complemented her striking pictures with a black and white color scheme that presented her materials in captivating and professional way.
The Playhouse Project
This site has a lot of content and is media rich. Therefore the navigation was a challenge in this project. In the end, the director of this outreach project was very happy with the visual appeal of the site, combined with a very intuitive and clear navigation system. This project involved a substantial amount of audio, video, and image editing.
Yelena had a very specific idea in mind for her site, and she was incredibly attentive to detail. The product of her clear ideas and detailed revisions is a clean, meticulously formatted and media rich site. Yelena wanted to attract new students as well as promote herself and her groups. As Yelena is based in NYC we were able to work together closely to achieve a wonderful result!
